Spring Trail Work – March 24th

March 24, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

The main work will be to continue recovering the gravel up the Sagebrush Trail.  Those pesky hikers tend to work the gravel over to the side, we rake it back into the trail and clean up the edges then relevel the trail bed.  We try to do this work for all the trails each year.  We will use the McLeods (large rake/hoe combination), garden and leaf rakes.

We will be meeting at 9 AM at Trailhead Park near the restroom building. I like people to tell me they are coming so I can plan the work and have the tools available. If you become available or have a friend you can just show up. We can be difficult to find if you miss the 9 AM meeting. Please send an email to [email protected] (preferred) or call me at 943-3992.

Volunteers should bring work gloves, snacks and water, and dress for the weather forecast. Tools are provided. There is little work for those 12 and under, it is hard to keep them on task for 4 hours. If you have a group from work, church or the gym that would like to come at another time, I can work with you. If I can get some good sized work crews over the next few weeks, we have really good a chance of having the trails in great shape for the Badger Mountain Challenge.
