Candy Mountain Trail Work with CH2MHill

For this work party we'll be working on finishing the trail into the new parking lot. This will include building a rock wall where the trail will come down in the parking lot, raking out and then graveling the last 400 feet of trail, and a few other tasks. The main work will be to continue recovering the gravel on the Sagebrush Trail and Langdon Trail. The gravel gets moved over to the side during the year, we rake it back into the trail and clean up the edges then relevel the trail bed. We try to do this work for all the trails each year. Join geologist, George Last, on a 3-mile, 1/2 day hike to the top of Badger Mountain. Elevation gain=800 ft. Learn about Lake Lewis, the Ice Age Floods, the Rattlesnake-Wallula lineament, and the basalt-lava flows.
