SUMMARY:Candy Mountain Trail Work
DESCRIPTION:This week’s trail work will include smoothing the trail and getting it into final shape using shovels\, takes\, and picks. The excavator will complete most of the hard work. \nWork parties will meet at the Westgate Parking Lot located just off Dallas Road at the start of the Badger Mountain Skyline Trail and carpool to Candy Mountain. \nVolunteers should bring work gloves\, snacks and water\, and dress for the weather forecast.  Tools will be provided.  There is little work\nfor pre-teens and younger\, it is hard to keep them on task for 4 hours. Please show up at the Westgate Parking lot by 9 AM.

DESCRIPTION:The plan for this week is to continue working on the Langdon Trail.  The work is raking the gravel in from the sides\, cutting out the weeds that are trying to make the trail narrower\, filling in a few potholes and having a good time. The tools used will be rakes and McLeods. The work now is one mile from the parking lot and getting closer so expect a bit of walking to get to the work location.
