This week will be the last scheduled trail work for the year because of the approaching cold weather. We need to complete adding gravel and cleaning up the lower part of the Canyon Trail. The main work will be to load the hauler on one end of its trip and on the other end to prepare the trail and then spread the new gravel. This works best with a crew of 5 or more people. So, I need helpers to get this done! As an enticement REI has contributed shirts to give out to our volunteers plus there will be cookies!

When you volunteer you will need to bring work gloves, snacks and water, and dress for the weather. There will be some down time between loads of gravel so maybe bring an extra jacket I will provide all the tools. There isn’t any work for preteens and younger.

Signups help with planning and making sure I bake enough cookies. Signups are also good in case I make last minute changes to the schedule. Please let me know that you are coming by sending an email to [email protected]

We will be working Thursday through Sunday from 8:30 to 12:30. All days we will be meeting at Trailhead Park near the restroom building.
