This week we will be working on two projects. The smaller is on Friday morning to install a new platform and interruptive sign on the Skyline Trail. This will involve removing the grasses, moving some rocks, installing the sign and then graveling the platform.

The second project is part of the new trail to Little Badger. I will be renting an excavator to help with building a rock wall. Since we are renting equipment we will be working morning and afternoon shifts. The excavator will be doing the heavy lifting but I will need help with the final positioning of the rocks.

The weather forecast looks like good Tri-Cities spring days, you know a little wind and mild temperatures. Any wind should not be a problem as we will be on the north side of Badger.

The Trailmaster will provide all the tools and even some homemade cookies at the 10:30 break.  Volunteers will need to bring work gloves, water and snacks with a pack to carry them, and dress for the weather forecast.  There isn’t any work for preteens and younger, it is just hard to keep them motivated for 4 hours.

Signups help with planning and making sure The Trailmaster bake enough cookies.  Sign-ups are also good in case The Trailmaster make last minute changes to the schedule.  Please let me know that you are coming by sending an email to [email protected]
