Trailwork Party – November 1
November 1 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
The trailmaster will continue working on small jobs this week. What we work on will depend on the crew and weather. The main job will be to rake the gravel back onto the trails with other potential work of replacing the missing rocks along the Canyon Trail and adding to the Sagebrush Trail rock wall. Later in November we will work on completing the trail down to Queensgate but the trailmaster needs some rain for that project.
Speaking of the weather, the forecast for this week looks to be typical fall temperatures with partly sunny days and little wind. Good trail work weather!
The trailmaster will provide all the tools and even some homemade cookies at the break. Volunteers need to bring work gloves, water, and snacks with a small pack to carry them, and dress for the weather forecast. There isn’t any work for preteens – it is hard to keep them motivated for 4 hours. Those 13 to 15 will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will need to sign up so the trailmaster can plan the work, bake enough cookies and let you know if plans change. Please let the trailmaster know that you are coming by sending an email to trailmaster@friendsofbadger.org
Meeting Place
At the Trails building next to the Westgate Parking lot off of Dallas Road. We will then carpool to near the work location.
