For this trailwork party we will be meeting at the restroom building at Trailhead Park at 8AM.

It has been announced that we will  be building a new trail heading off towards Little Badger this spring. However, our trailmaster will start the work off slow, not renting any expensive equipment just yet.

We will start by widening the Sagebrush Trail. The wider trail will allow us to bring the excavator down after the new trail is completed to fix the badly eroded lower turn/junction. The work this week will be with shovels and two of our haulers to cut about a foot out of the uphill bank and haul off the dirt. We will then touch up the trail and add some gravel.

The trailmaster will provide all the tools and even some cookies at the 10:00 break. Volunteers will need to bring work gloves, water and snacks with a pack to carry them, and dress for the weather forecast. There isn’t any work for preteens and younger, it is just hard to keep them motivated for 4 hours.
